The Slow Travel Trip Edit — Your Guide to Better Travel Planning

Your itinerary is Too Full?

Planning a trip should be exciting, not overwhelming. But between choosing destinations, booking accommodation, organizing transportation, and trying to fit everything into your schedule, it’s easy to turn a vacation into an exhausting checklist.

The Slow Travel Trip Edit is a practical, step-by-step digital travel-planning book created by Roland Bast in partnership with ValueVera.

Through real travel examples, practical advice, reusable worksheets, and decision-making exercises, you’ll learn how to prioritize what matters, build realistic itineraries, account for travel time, and leave room for unexpected discoveries.

Whether you’re planning a weekend escape or a multi-week adventure, this guide helps you create a journey around your interests, budget, and available time — without feeling like you have to see everything.

Stop Rushing. Start Travelling.

Itinerary Planners & Slow Travel Guides

More ways to explore the world at your own pace.

I’m Roland Bast, a Canadian travel photographer and destination storyteller. I’m developing a collection of destination-specific travel guides and itinerary planners based on my firsthand travels, original photography, and personal experiences exploring places around the world.

Each guide will bring together realistic itineraries, practical logistics, accommodation recommendations, estimated costs, highly rated attractions and experiences, and local discoveries. You’ll also find planning tools to help you choose experiences that match your interests, budget, and travel style.

These aren’t generic itineraries built around seeing as much as possible. They’re shaped by what I’ve learned on the road, including the importance of realistic driving times, meaningful experiences, and leaving room for unexpected discoveries. Sometimes that means stopping for a coffee, watching everyday life unfold, or simply enjoying a place without rushing to the next attraction.

And because travel doesn’t always go according to plan, I’ll also show you how to build flexibility into your itinerary for bad weather, unexpected delays, and those moments when you simply want to stay a little longer.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or a longer adventure, the goal is simple: less time organizing, more time experiencing.

Stop Rushing. Start Travelling.
