3. Kayaking in New West Valley

Discover the awe-inspiring beauty of New West Valley through kayaking. Despite a rainstorm and low water levels, the breathtaking scenery and wildlife encounters made it an unforgettable adventure. Paddle through lush landscapes and be inspired by the serene environment.

For a more enriching experience, visit Barbour Living Heritage Village, Karma Kafe, and Junkit for delicious coffee and treats. Consider staying at The Homestead Adventures for cozy accommodations and a range of local tours.

Hiking on Change Island offers stunning landscapes and breathtaking views. Although we missed seeing icebergs, the lush grass, dramatic cliffs, and crystal-clear waters were captivating.

The sunset, with its vibrant hues reflecting on the water, was a perfect end to our day. Change Island is ideal for those seeking adventure and natural beauty.

7. Educational Visit to the Triton Sperm Whale Museum

The Triton Sperm Whale Museum provides a unique educational experience. While we didn’t see live whales, learning about these magnificent creatures and witnessing the meticulous preparation of whale carcasses for display was fascinating.

This visit highlights the importance of conservation and offers valuable insights into whale preservation.

8. Beachside Dining with Wild Island Kitchen

For a memorable dining experience, consider hiring Wild Island Kitchen in Twillingate. The private chef, Crystal, prepared an exceptional meal over an open fire using local ingredients.

Enjoying a delicious dinner on the beach at sunset was a highlight of our trip. Crystal’s hospitality and culinary skills made for an unforgettable beach day.
