Exciting Summer in Niagara Falls

A Super Fun Time at Niagara Falls Park

Wow, my staycation at Niagara Falls Park was an exciting summer in Niagara Falls. It’s home to three big waterfalls that are at the bottom of a place called Niagara Gorge. It’s on the border between Ontario in Canada and New York in the United States.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

The biggest waterfall is Horseshoe Falls, right between the two countries. Cool stuff about Exciting Summer in Niagara Falls: Niagara Falls has existed for about 12,000 years. The falls happened when big chunks of ice melted and made huge lakes of fresh water, like the Great Lakes.

One of those lakes, Lake Erie, flowed down to another one, Lake Ontario. Niagara Falls is slowly moving backward by about 1 foot every year. It’s like the falls are taking small steps!

Exploring the Niagara Falls Butterfly Conservatory.

WOW! When you enter a butterfly place, you might think there are just a few kinds of butterflies and then move on to the next thing. It’s a super cool spot with lots of different types of butterflies. They’re all colourful, and some like to play around a lot. I spent a long time there, photographing them and their pretty colours.

It’s an enjoyable place for families, too. You can go in with a special pass for the Niagara Falls adventure. And if you pick up the package with the WeGo bus, you won’t have to worry about parking. It’s a neat place to see many colourful butterflies flying around and doing their thing.

The Sheraton Fallsview, the room with The View

When you opt for a staycation, isn’t it a delightful treat to indulge in a hotel room with a breathtaking view? You can look no further than the Sheraton Fallsview, which boasts the most stunning Niagara Falls perspective.

From here, you can relish the magnificent sight of the falls and the picturesque surroundings and even catch a glimpse of the American side—an ideal vantage point for the mesmerizing fireworks display.

The rooms offer generous space and are complete with a petite balcony, providing the perfect spot to enjoy the fireworks. On a friendly note, while the terrace is fantastic, it might not have enough room for a chair.

The Water-Electric Generating system

This power station has a fascinating history as a functional water-electric generating system. Today, it’s transformed into a museum offering yet another exciting discovery activity.

As you explore the tunnels, you’ll experience a unique adventure in the humid yet well-lit passages. Watch for a rainbow that often appears in the late afternoon at the tunnel’s end.

My favourite part is the power station’s exterior. The waterways are divided by walkways, creating a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere as you stroll and admire the rich history at its finest.

Table Rock House Restaurant

Where to eat dinner with a view? There are two places with a view: the interior of the Visitor’s Centre is home to Table Rock House Restaurant, which has a unique idea!

A full menu is available for both restaurants, but the 3-course selection they offered was just what I needed.  My server stood out and made my evening memorable!

The Queen Victoria Place Restaurant

The next night, I went to The Queens Victoria Place Restaurant for another special 3-course meal. The view was incredible again!

The food was delicious: tasty beef rib, fruit salad, and yummy creme brûlée for dessert. After that, I took a walk before the fireworks at 10 p.m. Make sure to check the schedule because the times might change with the seasons.

My trip to Niagara Falls was fantastic! I got to do lots of cool stuff at the Niagara Falls Parks. They’re organized, which is excellent because it means fewer cars and pollution.

And a WeGo bus runs until late, so it’s easy to get around even when tired. The activities are fun and don’t cost too much. Have you thought about visiting Niagara Falls? It’s worth it!
