A 5-Day Photography Tour with Roland Bast and Trinity Eco-Tours from June 9th to 13th, 2025.

Join Canadian award-winning landscape and wildlife photographer Roland Bast for an unforgettable five-day photography adventure across breathtaking Eastern Newfoundland.

 

Partnering with Trinity Eco-Tours Lodge, one of my favourite Newfoundland tour companies, this tour offers insider access to the region’s most spectacular wildlife, coastal photography and North America’s only Stellar Eagle sighting. 

Tour packages start at $4,500 per person. Flights are not included. 
Extra Options: Single occupancy room is $250.00 per night.

  • Wildlife photography sessions at St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve and whale watching at St. Vincent’s Beach.

  • A cultural and landscape photography day in downtown St. John’s, finishing with a festive farewell group dinner.

Newfoundland 5-Day Wildlife, Seabird Colonies Photography Tour
June 9 to the 13th 2025 | Limited to 10 Photographers

Day 1: Arrival in St. John’s

  • Arrive in St. John’s and check into your hotel.

  • Optional afternoon photography session at Quidi Vidi and nearby coastal sites.

  • 7:00 pm: Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Puffins, Whales & Avalon Peninsula

  • 9:00 am: Depart for Bay Bulls for a puffin and whale-watching boat tour.

  • Picnic lunch at Ferryland Lighthouse.

  • Photograph dramatic cliffs along the Avalon Peninsula.

  • Dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Overnight stay at a resort on the Avalon Peninsula.

Day 3: Seabird Photography at St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve

  • Morning: Photograph gannets, murres, and kittiwakes at St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve.

  • Lunch: Packed lunch, midday: Stop at St. Vincent’s for coastal whale photography opportunities.

  • Evening: Arrive in Trinity and check in for two nights.

  • Traditional Newfoundland “Boil-Up” Dinner.

Day 4: Puffins, Whales & Bonavista Adventure

  • 8:00 am: Depart for Elliston’s Puffin Site for close-up puffin photography.

  • Afternoon: Travel to Bonavista to photograph the lighthouse, fox dens, sea caves, and historic downtown.

  • Lunch at a local restaurant.

  • Return to Trinity for dinner and a possible evening whale-watching tour. 

Day 5: Explore Trinity & Return to St. John’s

  • Morning: Free time to explore Trinity or join an optional whale-watching tour $$$.

  • Lunch en route.

  • Afternoon: Drive back to St. John’s (approx. 3 hours).
    Check in to your hotel (Delta or similar)

  • 7:00 pm: Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
